Matt and I will be performing this Saturday with the the band Samurai Homeboys at O’Brien’s Pub in Santa Monica. Samurai Homeboys - a blues/soul review - is run by bassist Alan Hirano, who toured for many years with BB King. Also playing in the band this Saturday is the guitarist Jon Nichols from the Beth Hart band.

Check out this video from the last show featuring the K-9 Brass. Matt blows a killer solo, Steve rips some high notes while Bob plays some phat ones, and Mike wrote an awesome horn chart that has a cool “Chicago” style ending.

Now the Ghost CD release party lineup includes Shotgun Radio, Conjob, and The Wylde Bunch. And we’ll be playing two new songs 4 u. (FYI - Nels got the address wrong on the email flyer, but you all know where The Gig is on Melrose!). Plan for a long night, because all of the bands are totally funkin’ hot.
